Wycheproof Community Resource Centre has been named a semi-finalist in the Victorian Regional Achievement and Community Awards.
The Resource Centre is in the running for the Department of Environment, Land, Water & Planning Diversity and Inclusion Award.
The awards encourage, acknowledge and reward the valuable contributions individuals, communities and businesses are making throughout regional and rural Victoria.
Manager Averyll Loft said selection as a semi-finalist was a great achievement for the Centre.
"As a small, not-for-profit community organisation operating in a rural area, it's fantastic to be in the running for a state-wide award," she said.
"We are very excited to see whether we will progress to the final judging stage."
Finalists will be selected on August 29 and overall winners for each category will be announced at a Awards Presentation Gala Dinner in Melbourne in October.
