WCRC has a number of courses coming up in the month of August as part of our Adult, Community and Further Education (ACFE) program including:

Safe Operation of a Chainsaw - Monday, August 3

This 1-day course will cover everything from stripping and assembling your chainsaw through to cutting techniques. Minimum age of 16, and participants will need to be able to physically kneel on the ground and able to handle a chainsaw for a length of time. This is a non-accredited course. Cost: $160 (Limited spaces remaining - call today to secure your spot)

Safe Operation of a Tractor - Tuesday, August 4

This 1-day course will cover basic knowledge & skills for the safe operation of a tractor. This course will touch on topics such as introduction to the tractor, controls & instruments, coolant, fuel & lubrication systems, pre-start checks, pre-operational checks, SWL, correct use of safety prop, hooking up & unhooking PTO, selecting & removing & fitting attachments, operating & relocating a tractor, and post-operational checks. This is a non-accredited course. Cost: $150

Forklift Licence Course - Monday, August 10 - Wednesday, August 12

This 3-day Forklift Course covers the required knowledge & skills for the safe operation of a Forklift and is required for participants to complete if applying for their High Risk Licence (Class Type: LF) from WorkSafe Victoria. This Nationally-Recognised course covers topics for Forklift operations such as: planning the work/task, preparing for the work/task, performing the work/task, and packing up.  All High Risk Licence assessments are CLOSED BOOK assessments and are required to be written in English. The Language, Literacy & Numeracy (LLN) activity that participants are required to complete on the day involves basic writing, comprehension & mathematical skills. All participants are required to study the Forklift Study Guide and complete the Forklift Learner Workbook prior the course.  Cost: $620 ($50 non-refundable deposit required to secure your booking - limited spaces remaining)
