Festival of Small Halls 2020 coming this March
Festival of Small Halls 2020
Wycheproof will host its third annual Festival of Small Halls, a part of the National Folk Festival Autumn Tour 2020: Port Fairy to the National, Thursday 19th March 2020. This year, Woodfordia Inc presents The Paul McKenna Band - comprising of singer Paul McKenna, Conor Markey (banjo/bouzouki/guitars) and Ewan Baird (percussion) – “draw on both Scottish and Irish roots, in a dynamic, full-bodied array of original and traditional material, along with songs by like-minded authors. The band’s newest release ‘Breathe’ showcases Paul’s development as a songwriter and includes two co-writes with acclaimed Canadian songwriter Dave Gunning and another with one of Australia’s most respected songwriters, LizStringer.” (Woodfordia Inc)
The Festival will also bring Alana Wilkinson, Australian artist, who recently released her single ‘Partner in Crime’. Alana has been described as “equal parts vulnerable folk singer and vitriolic poet” (Woodfordia Inc) and has turned heads recently with stellar performances at major festivals such as Blue Mountains, Queenscliff, Woodford and Nannup.
